Hubli-Dharwad is one of the fastest developing twin city in Karnataka. After being considered for smart city this belt is being developed rapidly and many startups are emerging. The budget announcement also provided the  boost to the development.   

To ease travel and transportation Government has announced Rs 6900 crore (40% increase and highest ever allocation) .This will be used to complete electrification of the line and to also develop new lines. (Source:-Rail Analysis India) .

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to develop a 6 lane road including 4 lane service road from Gabbur in Hubli to Narendra Cross in Dharwad. This will include flyovers and  cattle and vehicular underpass . There will be busbay, medical aid post, vehicle rescue post and  Highway patrol units.All existing toll plazas on 2 lane HD bypass  will be removed and it will be replaced by one toll plaza .(source: Hubli-Dharwad-Infra.com )

There are new projects and developments being announced by government regularly to develop the twin city. This is attracting many startups, industries to invest and also emerge here.
